AVB... again

I spent most of today in training on a teaching method called Applied Verbal Behavior. I took the workshop last year when I was fried and not sure I was coming back, so I really didn't get a lot out of it. AVB is based on the work of B.F. Skinner and is actually pretty cool, if rather involved. I haven't decided yet to what extent I'll implement it in my classroom next year.

Yes, there will definitely be a next year. As this year ended, I was tired, but not fried. I did piss off a kindergarten teacher in a moment of lessened inhibitions, but I emerged otherwise unscathed (more crap to come from that incident, I'm sure!). I'm plodding along in the master's program.... all is well professionally. I'm even going to a training on autism later this summer that will lead to creating professional development activities. Whoo.

Now, if all this "are we moving, are we not moving" business would work out, we will really be in good shape.
